The Work

As a Textile Designer, I create 2 dimensional designs for woven, knitted, or printed fabrics and textile products to be used in furnishings or apparel. I might create designs for products such as floor and wall coverings, wrapping paper and packaging.

History

Starting out as a Hand-Paint Artist myself in 1981, in New York City's Garment Center and excited about remaining independent, I founded D.O.T. Studio, Inc. and began a collaboration with a group of talented designers and illustrators. As a team we were better able to meet the growing demands of discerning clients like Polo Ralph Lauren, Dana Buchman, Andrea Jovine among others.

Enjoying most, the process of "Design Development", we worked closely with clients to create beautiful finished textile designs, often from as little as a rough sketch, always aware of deadlines and conscious of price point.

Today

Now as a CAD Artist, I can combine a unique blend of creative design and technical skill, holding fast to the belief that hand painting is an art which is impossible to replace, but in tune with the needs of our technological age.
